Service description

Vihreä Pourusmäki ry (hereinafter referred to as the "online store") sells courses, training courses, lecture series and supporting memberships in its online store to consumers, companies and organisations in Finland and abroad (hereinafter referred to as the "user"). Vihreä Pourusmäki ry is a non-profit association and the products of the online shop are exempt from VAT (0%). 

Ordering 

Courses, lectures and trainings are registered, i.e. ordered by selecting the training content on the website and adding it to the shopping cart. Similarly, to become a supporting member, you can choose a the supporting membership on the website and add it to your shopping cart. The product information sets out in more detail the content of the order and any specific conditions. 

The contents of the shopping basket are paid for as described in the Payment section. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions and prices. An order confirmation will be sent by email. The order confirmation will indicate the products ordered and the price.

Payment

You can pay for the online shop by bank transfer and through the Paypal payment system.

By bank transfer
You will receive payment details (IBAN, BIC, reference number) for the bank transfer to our account at the time of purchase.

Via PayPal
Paypal is an internet-based payment system that allows you to pay for your e-commerce orders securely, both abroad and in your home country. Funds are transferred to the recipient either from the card linked to the PayPal account or from the balance in the PayPal account. Read more about paying with PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/fi/

PayPal supports all major payment cards. If you add your payment card to PayPal, you do not need to transfer money to PayPal. PayPal can also be used as an online wallet, which means you can store money there and use your balance whenever you need it.

Delivery and delivery costs

All products sold in the online shop are services. They are delivered electronically with an order confirmation and any other information required for participation to the subscriber's email. Delivery charges are not added to electronic deliveries.

Delivery time

We will deliver the necessary information for each service, such as links or confirmation of the course date, as soon as possible after the registration fee appears in our account, but no later than 10 working days.

We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure or for indirect damage caused by delays. 

Courses, lectures and trainings are delivered according to the course calendar, more details can be found in the information for each product. Support membership will be confirmed as soon as possible and membership will start from the date of confirmation.

Cancellation

Consumers:

You can cancel your order of a course, training or lecture series within 14 days of ordering, if the course has not started within that time. 

However, if the course starts less than 14 days after the order, the user has no right of withdrawal, as training services are considered as leisure services with no right of withdrawal when the service has been agreed to be provided at a specified time. 

You can cancel your support membership order within 14 days of the date of order.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the user must inform the online store of the decision to cancel the subscription in an unambiguous manner (e.g. by e-mail). The user can use the cancellation form, but its use is not compulsory.

We will not refund payments made by those who do not attend the course without a cancellation notice. Cancellations are made by e-mail to info [at] vihreapourusmaki [dot] fi (info[at]vihreapourusmaki[dot]fi)

In case of complaints, please contact us. 

The online store will make the refund using the payment method used by the user who paid for the order in the original transaction, unless the user has expressly agreed otherwise, and in any case in such a way that the user does not incur any costs for the refund. 

If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, the user is entitled to a refund of the ticket price. 

Communities and companies:

Force majeure

The parties are released from their obligations and from the obligation to pay compensation if the breach or non-performance of their contractual obligations is due to force majeure.

Force majeure shall be deemed to be an unusual and relevant event which prevents the performance of the contract and which occurs after the conclusion of the contract, which is beyond the control of the parties and the effects of which cannot reasonably be avoided or overcome.

Examples of force majeure include war, insurrection, seizure for public necessity, illness of the responsible trainer, interruption of energy supply, fire, pandemic, natural disaster, strike, telecommunication breakdown, decision of a public authority, serious traffic disruption or any other cause having an equivalent effect and unusual and independent of the contracting parties.

A Party shall promptly notify the other Party of force majeure and its cessation. In the event of a delay in the performance of the contractual obligations due to force majeure, the time for performance of the contractual obligation shall be extended as far as is reasonable having regard to all the circumstances of the case.

Establishment of the contract

The contract is established when the user accepts these terms and conditions at the time of ordering.

Cancellation, liability and complaints

We aim to resolve any disputes regarding your order by agreement in the first instance, so please contact our customer service team in the first instance to settle the matter. 

The online store is liable for any defect in the goods on the basis of the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act on liability for defects. 

Finland: the consumer should contact the Consumer Disputes Board for free consumer advice before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board. Contact details of the Consumer Advice Centre: www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi.

The consumer can also use the online dispute resolution platform (ODR platform) run by the European Commission. The dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr

The consumer-customer has the right to bring a dispute concerning this contract before the district court of his/her place of residence or of the place where the online shop is established. If the consumer-customer does not have a place of residence in Finland, the matter shall be settled by the district court of the place where the online shop is located. For non-consumer customers, the district court of the online shop's place of establishment will hear the case. 

Disputes relating to this contract shall be settled in accordance with Finnish law.
