Persons responsible for the register
Vihreä Pourusmäki ry has a register of members. In addition, personal data is collected through forms and the online shop on this page, and a newsletter is maintained. The membership register and lists are managed by the membership officer, the association's board of directors and persons appointed for communication. Purpose of processing personal data and use of the register
The persons registered in the register of members are those accepted as members of the Association. The purpose of the processing of personal data is the obligation to maintain a list of members and the maintenance of membership fees and contact details for the purposes of the Association's activities, as stipulated in the Associations Act (503/1989).
In addition, the Association maintains a general e-mail list which can be subscribed to from this website. The e-mail list is used to provide information about the activities of the association and about articles, studies, publications and events related to permaculture in Finland.
Data content of the register
The register of members contains the information that the member has given to the association. The following information is collected when a person becomes a member:
- first name and surname (required)
- e-mail address (required)
- Address and municipality (required)
- company (compulsory if member represents a company)
- telephone number (optional)
The e-mail address and, where applicable, the name and address provided by the subscriber himself/herself shall be recorded on the (e-mail) lists.
Data retention period
The personal data stored in the electronic register of members will be kept for the duration of the membership. The records of the association will be kept in the association's archives for information on accepted members.
Subscriptions to the e-mail list remain valid until the person indicates that he or she wishes to be removed from the list.
Other lists are periodically purged of outdated information.
Regular data sources
Data is collected directly from prospective members when they apply for membership. Members have the possibility to update their data themselves by contacting the membership contact person. The register contains only information provided by the user himself.
For persons who have made purchases in the online shop and subscribed to e-mail lists, the e-mail address and, where applicable, the name and address provided by the person are recorded.
Regular disclosures and transfers of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area
No information from the register of members or lists will be disclosed for commercial purposes or to third parties. There is no regular transfer of data outside the EU or EEA. We may also outsource part of the processing of personal data to a third party, in which case we will ensure through contractual arrangements that the personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and otherwise appropriately. We have ensured that all our service providers comply with data protection legislation.
Use of cookies
We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small text file that is sent to and stored on a user's computer, which enables the website operator to identify frequent visitors to the website and to compile aggregate information about visitors. Cookies do not harm users' computers or files.
If a user visiting our website does not want us to receive the above information by means of cookies, most browsers allow you to disable the cookie function. This is usually done through the browser settings.
However, it is worth bearing in mind that cookies may be necessary for the proper functioning of some of the pages we maintain.
Protection of the register
Data is transferred over an SSL-secured connection.
Access to the register of members, online shop subscription data and lists is restricted to those persons in the association who need the data for their tasks. These persons are bound by confidentiality obligations. The information in the register of members is stored in a secure manner.
The register does not contain sensitive data as mentioned in § 11 of the Personal Data Register Act.
Automated decision-making
No automated individual decisions (Article 22 of the EU Data Protection Regulation) are taken.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right to inspect the data concerning him or her. The request for inspection is addressed either in writing or by e-mail to the Membership Officer.
The data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data. The data will be corrected by the registry administrator in cooperation with the operator who provided the incorrect information. The request for correction shall be addressed either in writing or by e-mail to the Member's representative.
